About This Experience

See the Great Wall like few travelers do - glowing with light after dark. The Badaling Night Tour opens a illuminated section of the wall from roughly 6:30 PM to 10:00 PM during the season (about late April to early October), with tickets around CNY 198-298. Walk the ramparts as floodlights trace the wall over the mountain ridges, enjoy cultural performances at the entrance plaza, and experience one of the new night-tourism formats heavily promoted to international visitors in 2025-2026.

Cultural Significance

Badaling is the most famous and best-preserved section of the Ming Great Wall, a UNESCO World Heritage site and a symbol of Chinese civilization. The night tour re-imagines this ancient fortification as a modern cultural stage, part of Beijing's push to extend heritage tourism into the evening economy.
