About This Experience

Watch 'Glamorous Chongqing', the city's spectacular drone light show launched in April 2025, where thousands of synchronized drones form glowing skylines, hotpot bowls and light-rail trains above the confluence of the Yangtze and Jialing rivers. In June 2025 the show set a Guinness World Record with 11,787 drones in the air at once. With around 90 shows a year, typically on Saturday nights, the best free viewing spots are Chaotianmen Square, the Nanbin Road riverside promenade and the area near Hongya Cave.

Cultural Significance

Chongqing's drone show is the newest symbol of China's 'night economy' and the country's dominance in consumer drone technology. Like Shenzhen's shows, it turns the skyline itself into a stage, blending the city's famous 8D terrain, river confluence and neon architecture into a distinctly Chinese spectacle of light.
